Man Of The Year

Man of the Year. We are proud to announce that our own Chuck Caswell , Director of the IronMen Foundation, was named the National Street Rod Association’s “Man of the Year” at the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville on August 3, 2012. The award, presented by NSRA Sales Manager Jon Stroud, is a lifetime achievement award given out each year to a street rodder for his contributions to the street rod sport. Chuck received the award, on behalf of the entire Board, all the project’s donor companies and all the 50+men who worked on the Metal of Honor project.

In his presentation, the NSRA’s Jon Stroud pointed out that, before Chuck ever got involved in Street Rodding and Classics, he had spent his advertising career writing TV, Radio and Print ads at Leo Burnett Agency in Chicago. As V.P. Creative Director, Chuck authored campaigns for Union 76, General Motors, 9-Lives, Kellogg’s, Nestle, Pepsico, McDonald’s, Allstate, Kraft, Fisher Nuts, Oldsmobile, GMC and Keebler. Since leaving Burnett, among other products, he has plied his Burnett experience on specialty automotive producst and services including, CleanTools (Absorber), Merlin 200,000 Mile Shops (formerly Merlin Muffler and Brake), Fireman’s Friend, Glosser, Union 76 Truckstops, and 76 Racing Gasoline.

We are proud of our brother Chuck … almost as proud as we are of our Warriors and their families for what they do day in and day out!

The IronMen Foundation is “On the Air”.

Foundation donors decided to participate in Chicago’s WIND Radio- 560AM “Feed the Children” Christmas charity drive. Because of their generosity to “Feed the Children”, WIND Radio awarded the donors 40 radio commercial placements during any 4 week period in 2013. The donors then donated their 40 radio commercials to The IronMen Foundation. Throughout December of 2013 the foundation aired a commercial called “When I Grow Up”. Give it a listen and see if it doesn’t move your heart toward the plight of so many of our military children.
